The Sabbath | On What Day?
SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH | WHAT DAY IS IT?
The Commandment:
“Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. “Six days you labor, and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of יהוה (YaHuWaH) your Elohiym. You do not do any work - you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. “For in six days יהוה (YaHuWaH) made the heavens and the Earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה (YaHuWaH) blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.

This is a simple enough commandment, isn't it? As long as your attitude to your Creator is one of obedience and humility, the Commandment is simple and pretty straightforward, isn't it?
Glance at the nearest available Calendar, identify its Seventh day, and you are good! On its Seventh day, you and your family go off to Church. Well, be sure that your family and fellow believers are looking at the same Calendar. So, if I look at an international Calendar published by ISO-8601, which begins each week with Monday, my seventh day will be Sunday! If I glanced at the Islamic Calendar, the Hijri Calendar, which starts its week with a Saturday, my seventh day will be Friday! And If I used the North American Calendar, adopted by the later Julian and Gregorian Calendars, which starts its week with a Sunday, my seventh day will of course be, Saturday! (See the Article "seven-day week" on Wikipedia).

Now, which of these three seventh-days is the true Holy Sabbath? You might be tempted to say, 'Saturday', if you are an Adventist or a regular Sabbatarian. Maybe, like me, that's what you grew up to know! Beloved, there aren't many lies as big as this lie in the World today! The tragedy is that my fellow Seventh-day Adventists became the victims of an official lie by our own church! Download THE WEEKLY CYCLE HAS NEVER CHANGED! for the lie. SATURDAY IS NOT AND CANNOT BE THE BIBLICAL SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH! Our Church knows it, knew it as far back as 1938, and has been teaching us differently! Download the Grace Amadon Collection and the Great Calendar Controversy for details of this shocking LIE! Daniy'el Chapter 7 told us and we totally and fatally misunderstood a very clear prophecy of scripture.
And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the Saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

In reading this important prophecy, we were conditioned by our Church(es) into looking no further than the superficial fact of Sunday versus Saturday. We had that all hyped up that we couldn't appreciate the wider and deeper more significant truths! Of course, Sunday is the first day of the Gregorian week we know and Saturday is its seventh day. We were told that from creation, the weekly cycle has continued uninterrupted till today! And that, even the transition in 1582 AD from the Julian to the Gregorian Calendar which resulted in the loss of eleven days as Thursday October 4 was followed by Friday October 15, did not disrupt the weekly cycle as Friday followed Thursday. Adventism has staunchly defended the Gregorian Calendar quite strongly over the years! Yet the Church has since 1938 known that the Gregorian Calendar is a fake and a monumental fraud! To clinch it, we were told that the Saturday today is the same as the one our Savior YaHuWshuaH worshiped on! Nothing could be further from the truth. A shameful lie!
The Catholic Church has been very clear as they jeer at Seventh-day Adventists. Read this article and Read this one CATHOLICISM SPEAKS too, for the transcript of the announcement by the Catholic Church as to what really happened.
It is true that Saturday is the seventh day of the modern week. However, this does not make Saturday the seventh-day Sabbath of Scripture. The modern week comes from the pagan planetary week. When it was adopted by the Julian Calendar, the seven-day planetary week began on Saturday (and ended with dies veneris - Friday)!
Note too that the early Julian Calendar was originally (An 8-Day-Week Calendar! )

Evidence of Calendar Change
Gregorian Calendar Month Names
So now, let us refresh our memories on the Fourth Commandment,
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of יהוה (YaHuWaH) your Elohiym.
The Law stipulates the Seventh Day. Not the First Day. Consequently, we couldn't just see more than a change of the day of worship from the Seventh day to the First day! This of course in itself is rebellion, to be sure. But the enemy used it as a smoke screen, a clever decoy to hide the diabolical plot to steal every worship that rightfully belongs to the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. No matter how you argue against and reject Sunday, and whatever other choices you may make - Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, among the Satanic Gregorian Calendar, your worship is effectively redirected to the Arch Usurper! Satan knows, his servant the Papacy knows, that you cannot meet the requirements of the Commandment as long as you stay within the Gregorian or related Calendar. Whether you are using the Jewish Calendar of today, the Islamic Calendar - the Hijri, or the International Calendar, it is all the same. They all derive from the Gregorian Calendar. This is one of the biggest coups in all of history!

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohiym: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
YeshaYahuw 14:12-14 above, is Satan's declaration of his plan to overthrow Elohi-Yisra'el. The abolishing of the Divine Calendar was the central part of the plan to "sit also upon the mount of the congregation", which in plain English, means, "he will receive every worship belonging to Elohiym and become Elohiym!".
For people wanting to obey the Bible commandments, the question is: "Which is the First Day of the week on the available Calendar?" Everyone can count from one to seven, but where does the count begin? Once we identify the First Day, the Seventh Day is a matter of counting from One to Seven. That was how we settled on Saturday as the Sabbath! Wow! How simple we have been. Satan and his servants did take us for a very terrible ride! How we arrived at Saturday as the Sabbath is the correct way except that we were presented with a Counterfeit Calendar!
How can you know which is the true seventh day? Simple. By counting from one to seven on the Eternal Divine Calendar. If the Gregorian Calendar now in global use, is not it, which one is? How and where can we find the true Calendar? In the Bible, where else?
You certainly know enough to know that Elohiym created the WEEK in the beginning. Read Genesis chapter 1. The Creator Who made the week also designed a month in which to place that week. In the same chapter 1 of Genesis, we were told how to reckon time by using the Sun, Moon and Stars. The Calendar of Creation begins with a New Moon Day followed by four complete weeks. Each week contains six work days and a seventh-day Sabbath for rest.

In the beginning, the Creator designed the movement of the Sun and the Moon to measure time.
"Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons (religious gatherings); , and for days, and years: ... Two great lights (were set) ... in the Firmament of the heaven ... to rule over the day and over the night."
Time can be measured only by movement. The complete movement of the Sun around the Earth, measures a day. In 365 and a quarter days, the Sun and the Earth return to the same relative position. This is one solar year. The Moon's 29 and a half day revolution around the Earth measures a lunation, which is the Month. Twelve and a third lunations equal in length to a solar year.
There are three basic Calendar formats using the movements of the Sun and the Moon:
Solar:
The measurement of the movement of the Earth around the Sun. In this, the number of days it takes the Earth to complete one revolution around the Sun is one year. This takes about 365 and a quarter days.
Solar Calendars use the Sun only for measuring the length of the year. The Months of a Solar year are of arbitrary length having no link to nature. The Gregorian Calendar which is the Calendar in global use today, is a Solar Calendar. On the Gregorian solar Calendar, weeks cycle continuously. Even the leap day, which makes every fourth year a leap year, does not disrupt the continuous weekly cycle. A leap year is about 366 days.

Lunar:
The measurement of the Moon's revolution around the Earth, and the phases the Moon presents to an observer on Earth as it travels around the Earth.
Lunar Calendars are based strictly on the cycles of the Moon. The Lunar Months cycle continuously without adjustment to the solar year. Because 12 lunations are 11 days shorter than a solar year, lunar months float forward and backward through the seasons in different years. The Islamic, Hijri Calendar is a typical Lunar Calendar.
Luni-solar:
Measures the movement of the Moon around the Earth and the Earth around the Sun. Luni-Solar months are anchored to the solar year, consequently remaining faithful to the seasons year after year.
The Sun and the Moon functioning together make a luni-solar Calendar. Lunations are adjusted to the longer solar year by adding a 13th month seven times in the 19 years of the Metonic Cycle. The Metonic Cycle Made Simple . The weekly cycle restarts with every new Moon. Each lunation has four complete weeks after the New Moon Day.

The Calendar established at Creation is luni-solar. It is the most accurate and precise of all time-keeping systems.
In Scripture, each lunation starts with the celebration of a special day of worship: New Moon Day. New Moon Day starts with the first dawn after Conjunction. Six work days follow and then a seventh-day Sabbath on the eighth of the month. Three more weeks follow, ending on the 29th. Through measurement and calculation in the days leading up to the 29th, the time of the next Conjunction is revealed so one can determine if the month has 29 or 30 days. No month ever has more than 30 days.
The true luni-solar Calendar is very user-friendly. Days of the week always fall on the same dates of every month in the Creator's Luni-Solar Calendar. Every time a Seventh-day Sabbath in Scripture is assigned a date, it always falls on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th days of the month.
Scripture states that the Moon was created specifically to measure times for worship.
He appointed [created] the Moon for seasons [H415; worship times].
Creation week ended with a Sabbath day's rest. Exodus 31 states that the Sabbath is to be kept throughout all generations.
Verily My Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YaHuWaH that doth sanctify you.
The seventh-day Sabbath was designed by the Creator to be the sign of loyalty between Himself and His people. The enemy, Lucifer, has changed the Calendar and stolen the worship due to the Creator. For details of how Lucifer managed to accomplish this incredible feat, open this page. It may read like a thriller novel. It is not. This is deadly serious, and true. Through tradition and assumption, Lucifer has united the world in using a solar Calendar with continuously cycling weeks. When one worships reveals whom he worships. All who use a solar or lunar Calendar for calculating their days of worship, whether Natsariym (Christian) or Muslim are, unknowingly, giving their allegiance and worship to the great Deceiver!
Those desiring to show their allegiance to the Creator will worship Him on the day He has designated. To find the correct day of worship, the luni-solar Calendar established at Creation must be used. There is not a single event in Scripture that harmonizes with any other Calendar. Every event or story in Scripture fits perfectly within the luni-solar Calendar. It is the Bible's only Calendar.
Biblical New Year's Day
New Year's Day for the Bible and for its Author - El Elohaykem shel Yashar'el, was defined in the Bible in Shemoth (Exodus) 12:2.
And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon in the land of Mitsrayim, saying,
“This month is the beginning of months for you, it is the first month of the year for you.
YaHuWaH spoke to Mosheh informing him of how he and his people are to measure time. This statement was made by YaHuWaH as HE prepared Mosheh to prepare the Israelites for the Exodus. A few days before this instruction (in Exodus 12:2) was given, Mitsrayim (Egypt) had suffered a devastating plague of Hail and fire and rain (All at once). The Hail destroyed every plant and trees that were standing. Only crops that were yet to sprout or bud survived. Of those days the Bible said:
And the hail smote in all the land of Mitsrayim all that was in the field, both man and beast. And the hail smote every plant of the field and broke every tree of the field. ... And the flax and the barley were smitten, for the barley was in the head and the flax was in bud. But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten, for they were late crops.
Grown Barley indicates this was in the Spring.
Fourteen nights later, all the first-born of Egypt (Mitsrayim) were to die. This is the Passover Month. Of the time-frame, this is a time when Barley crop was approaching maturity. The time of year when Barley crop is due to mature would be the 'beginning of months' for you. When the Early Rains are expected. In fact, in what we now call 'The Spring'. And so, Yisra'el called the month, 'Abib' - meaning 'ripe'. Unfortunately, tradition then held that evidence of the beginning of a new year would be the imminent ripening of the Barley crop. But tradition can have no place especially where the word of Elohiym is clear on an issue. On this issue, the Bible is clear where we should look to determine the beginning and end of a year.
And Elohiym said, “Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times (feasts), and for days and years, and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the Earth.” And it came to be so. And Elohiym made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the stars".
Clearly, we are to look to the heavens for signs to show us when days begin and when days end; When the months begin and when they end. when years begin and when years end.
Genesis 1:14 states in plain language that the heavenly bodies are to be for "signs and appointed times, and for days and years" But the current practice of many even among those who should know better, the Yahuwdiym, is to watch for the ripening of Barley in the Middle East! There is no mention of vegetation in Genesis 1:14. Nowhere in Scripture is it stated that the beginning of the year is to be determined by examining Barley or to reference anything on Earth. To suggest that the New Year hinges on the ripeness of the Barley, when Scripture incontrovertibly declares that the heavenly bodies are to determine years, is to add to YaHuWaH's Word.
You shall not add to the word that I command you nor take from it that you may keep the commandments of YaHuWaH your Eloah that I command you." See Deuteronomy 4:2.
"Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it." Deuteronomy 12:32.
"Every word of Eloah is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Proverbs 30:5-6.
While popular tradition teaches that the ripeness of Palestinian Barley is the beacon for the New Year, this supposition cannot be supported by even one passage of Scripture.
Now that we know by the authority of Scripture that the heavenly bodies are to determine years, the question is "What is it that takes place in the heavens to let us know that Winter is over and a New Year can begin?" A very important clue can be found in Exodus 34.
And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end [H8622]."
Now, let us examine the Hebrew word, translated here as "end."
H8622 (tekufah) - "coming round, circuit of time or space, a turning, circuit" (Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew Dictionary)
While it is not immediately apparent from the KJV, the word translated here as "end" [Strong's H8622] is referring to the Fall Equinox (also called the Autumnal Equinox) in the middle of the year. This is confirmed by the fact that the Feast of Ingathering, also referred to as the "Feast of Tabernacles" and the "Feast of Booths," takes place in fall, in the Seventh Month (Leviticus 23:34) - in the middle of the year, not at the end of the civil year.
The Encyclopedia Judaica agrees with this interpretation.
"As stated, the four seasons in the Yahuwdiy year are called tekufot [plural of tekufah; H8622]. More accurately, it is the beginning of each of the four seasons - according to the common view, the mean beginning - that is named tekufah (literally "circuit," from 'קוף' related to 'נקף' , "to go round"), the tekufah of Nisan denoting the mean Sun at the vernal equinoctial point, that of Tammuz denoting it at the summer solstitial point, that of Tishrei, at the autumnal equinoctial point, and that of Tevet, at the winter solstitial point.

The translations below offer a more accurate rendering of Exodus 34:22 than the King James Version managed.
- And thou shalt keep to me the feast of weeks, the beginning of wheat-harvest; and the feast of ingathering in the middle of the year."
- "And a feast of weeks thou dost observe for thyself; first-fruits of wheat-harvest; and the feast of in-gathering, at the revolution of the year."
- "And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the first-fruits of wheat-harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the turn of the year."
- “And perform the Festival of Weeks for yourself, of the first-fruits of wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year."
Thus far, we have established the following:
It is only logical to conclude based on the above that the beginning of the year then is connected to the Spring Equinox, which takes place about six months before and after the Fall Equinox. If the Fall Feasts are connected to the Fall Equinox in the middle of the year, then the spring feasts must be connected to the Spring Equinox at the beginning of the year. It is very important to note here that the Feast of Ingathering is directly associated with the Fall Equinox; therefore, in order to fulfill the Biblical mandate, the Feast of Ingathering must be held on or very near the Fall Equinox.
- The Feast of Ingathering revolves around the Fall harvest in the Seventh Month (Leviticus 23:34).
- The Feast of Ingathering is associated with the fall Equinox in 'the middle of the year'.
In the same vein, to fulfill the Biblical mandate, we must therefore look to the New Moon that is closest to the Spring Equinox.
We need to be clear about this fact: That there is just one definitive anchor point given in Scripture for identifying the Biblical New Year. It is the Fall Equinox. Shemoth (Exodus) 34:22 states that the Feast of Ingathering (in the seventh luni-solar month) is to be held at the tekufah, which in context is the Fall Equinox. It is not possible to consistently keep this mandate when always reckoning the New Year by the first New Moon after the Vernal (Spring) Equinox. If we reckon the New Year by the New Moon nearest the Vernal Equinox, however, the Biblical mandate will be consistently met.
Biblical Definition for New Year
Biblical New Year Day is the New Moon Day Nearest the Spring Equinox. (The Spring Equinox is the day during Spring when the daytime and nighttime are exactly equal in length). It is usually March 20 or March 21. In making this judgment, ensure that both the Passover (the 14th day of the lunar month) and the full Moon fall after the Equinox. This ensures precision.

The New Moon Day is a Sabbath day. The next day, the second day of the Month, is the First day of the Week. Seven days later reaches to the 8th of the Month, the first Seventh-day Sabbath of the New Month. The remaining Sabbaths for the Month occur on the 15th, 22nd and 29th Day of the Month. This is the same for every month of the year and every month forever. It has always been so and always will remain so.
NEW MOON DAY
The New Moon Day is a super special day. A Sabbath Day of a different class than the Seventh-day Sabbath. It is a special gift from our Creator. Recall that our Creator was at rest before HE began creation. The NEW Moon DAY seems to represent the period when Elohiym was at rest before beginning HIS work of creation. Before we begin our work week too, we need a Rest day. The new moon day not only begins each month, it also affords us a Rest Day before we commence our own 'Work Week'. The very next day, the First day of the First week of the month is the 2nd day of the Month and is a WORK DAY. We will work the six days from then to the Seventh day, when we must have a rest (Sabbath). A rest day must precede every Work Week. And just as the New Moon Day begins with deepest darkness (CONJUNCTION), the very first day of the Creation Month and Week, was dark, very dark! And then came 'light' after the creation of the Heavens and the Earth. The Heavens and the Earth were made in utter darkness. With our Eloah though,
Even darkness is not dark for You, But night shines as the day - As is darkness, so is light.
The modern Gregorian Calendar cannot be used to calculate the true seventh-day Sabbath because it lacks one very vital feature of Biblical time-measurement: lunar months. The Creator's Calendar begins each month with the New Moon. The first day of every new month is New Moon day:
And Dawid said to Yahuwnathan, “Indeed tomorrow is the New Moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king to eat.” ... Then Yahuwnathan said to Dawid, “Tomorrow is the New Moon; and you will be missed, because your seat will be empty.” ... Then Dawid hid in the field. And when the New Moon had come, the king sat down to eat the feast ... but Dawid's place was empty.
The Hebrew word for “month,” chodesh, actually means:
new Moon; month.” Chodesh can refer to a “month,” or the period from one new Moon to another. (Chodesh, #2320)
Since the Biblical month begins with the New Moon, the weekly Sabbaths are intrinsically linked to the Moon. New Moon day restarts the weekly cycle. YaHuWaH created the lights in the heavens for the express purpose of calculating time.
Let there be lights in the Firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years ... .
The word “seasons” comes from the word Mo'ed.
These are the appointed times of יהוה (YaHuWaH), set-apart gatherings which you are to proclaim at their appointed times. 'In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between the evenings, is the Passover to יהוה (YaHuWaH). 'And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Festival of Unleavened Bread to יהוה (YaHuWaH) - seven days you eat unleavened bread'.
Ancient Israel, like us, had an attitude toward the Commandments. They would say, “When does the New Moon pass so that we sell grain, and the Sabbath so that we trade our wheat, to make the ĕphah small and the sheqel large, and to falsify the scales by deceit, to buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals, and sell the chaff of the wheat?” יהוה (YaHuWaH) has sworn by the Excellency of Ya'aqob, “I shall never forget any of their works."
Here is how important the New Moon is to YaHuWaH:
Thus said the Master יהוה (YaHuWaH), “The gate of the inner courtyard facing east is shut the six days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened, and on the day of the New Moon it is opened.
Elohiym expects His people to meet with Him every New Moon Day and every Sabbath.
Eternal Divine Calendar
Note now Beloved, that every year, unfailingly, the PASSOVER DAY, the 14th day of the 1st month (Abib) is a PREPARATION DAY (the 6th day of the week). The 15th day is the Sabbath. The 16th day of the same month is the Day of the Wave Sheaf.
The first day of the Seventh Month (Tishrei) is the Feast of Trumpets - A New Moon Day. The 10th Day is the Day of Atonement. It is always the 2nd day of the 2nd week. The Days and the Dates for every Biblical event remain the same every year now and forever.
Is this possible on the Gregorian Calendar hanging on your living room wall right now? It is impossible! And you know it. Why then are you still accepting it as legitimate and true? It does not harmonize with anything in Scripture and you are not raising any questions?
And יהוה (YaHuWaH) spoke to Mosheh, saying,
“Speak to the children of Yisra'ĕl, saying, 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you have a rest, a remembrance of blowing of trumpets, a set-apart gathering." ...
" And יהוה (YaHuWaH) spoke to Mosheh, saying,
“On the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. ... ... On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath.” Leviticus 23:23 - 32 TS98 (ISR)
"And יהוה (YaHuWaH) spoke to Mosheh, saying,
“Speak to the children of Yisra'ĕl, saying, 'On the fifteenth day of this seventh month (7th Month) is the Festival of Booths for seven days to יהוה (YaHuWaH) ... On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה (YaHuWaH). It is a closing festival, you do no servile work. Leviticus 23:33-36
"'On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you gather in the fruit of the land, observe the festival of יהוה (YaHuWaH) for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest.
Leviticus 23:40 'And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohiym for seven days.
Leviticus 23:41 'And you shall observe it as a festival to יהוה (YaHuWaH) for seven days in the year - a law forever in your generations. Observe it in the seventh month." Leviticus 23:39
When we talk about the Mark of the Beast, referring to the Change of the Day of worship from the Seventh day to the First day, we are right. So much so because the Beast, the Papacy admits doing just this.
However, the full truth is, the Papacy knows that regardless of your religion, be it Natsarenity (Christianity) or Islam, as long as you are using their Calendar for determining your day of worship, you are paying homage to them and actually accepting their authority in these matters. They gave the world the Calendar in use today. And they admit it and boast about it.
Read this article and Read this one CATHOLICISM SPEAKS too for the transcript of the announcement by the Catholic Church as to what really happened. So now you see why neither Sunday nor Saturday can be the Biblical Sabbath. Remember that the Commandment is clear.
"Remember the Sabbath day ... ", Not, "Remember a Sabbath day ..."
Scripture reveals that the Calendar that will be used for worship throughout all eternity will be based upon the Calendar which has each month restarting with a New Moon Day:
And it shall come to pass, that from one new Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me.
Whom do you worship? To whom to do you give your allegiance? The Calendar you use to measure time for worship reveals the deity you worship.
