- "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field."
- "Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old."
- "The Revelation of YaHuWshuaH the Messiah, which YaHuWaH gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his Angel unto his servant Yahuwchanon:"
- "Who bare record of the word of YaHuWaH, and of the testimony of YaHuWshuaH the Messiah, and of all things that he saw."
- "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."
The Structure Of The Book Of Revelation
Revelation | The Structure
- The Revelation of the Messiah, which Elohiym gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his Angel unto his servant Yahuwchanon:
- Who bare record of the word of , and of the testimony of the Messiah, and of all things that he saw.
- Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
The structure of a book shows how the book is put together. The Revelation is an inspired book of the Bible, and it is the inspired structure of this book that is the key which opens up its meaning and message, permitting the Bible to be its own Interpreter. Not a theologian, but a professor of English literature recently discovered that there is a literary pattern in the basic structure of Revelation. When that structural pattern is recognized and applied, it reveals the correct timing for each Historical-prophetic Outline in the book; such as the seven seals, the seven trumpets, and the seven Plagues. Knowledge about the very orderly structure of Revelation exposes the errors of “private interpretations”, and removes the idea that this prophetic book is fragmented and disorganized. Rather, the structure of Revelation reveals the organized plan that Elohiym has appropriately devised for the liberation of his people from sin, their enemies, death and this present world.
Structure | Book of Revelation
The Book of Revelation has two major lines of Prophecy. The First line is made up of four Visions, Namely:
- Revelation chapters 1 - 3.
- Revelation chapters 4 - 8:1
- Revelation chapters 8:5 - 10:11
- Revelation chapter 11:1 - 11:19
This major line of prophecy spans the time between the ascension of haMashiach (the Messiah) in AD 31 to His Second Coming.
The Second Major Line of Prophecy also consists of four visions, namely:
- Revelation chapters 12 - 14:19.
- Revelation chapters 15: - 18:24
- Revelation chapters 19:1 - 21:2
- Revelation chapter 21:3 - 22
The Second Major Line of Prophecy in Chapters 12-22 is longer. It spans the time between the fall of Lucifer in Heaven to his destruction in the lake of fire, and the creation of a new Heaven and a new Earth. The two “Major Lines of Prophecy” can be superimposed one upon the other, which ties major events, common to both, together. The relationships between both “Major Lines of Prophecy” are then revealed.
Each Vision is in turn broken into four parts, namely:
An Introductory 'Heavenly Scene':
The 'Heavenly Scenes', prefaces and locates the vision's Outline in the stream of time.
- A 'Prophetic Outline'
There are Six Interludes, not eight as might be expected, because the first and last Visions of Revelation represent the prologue and epilogue respectively, and ran from start to finish without interludes. The Interludes are 'eschatological events' related to the Second-Coming. The events of the First Vision of the First Line of Prophecies were still a bit far from the end. While the events of the last Vision of the Second Line of Prophecies were past the Second-Coming.
An 'End-Time Event'.
The First and last Visions in Revelation are without End-Time events.
These Prophetic Outlines were time-sequenced events, affecting Elohiym's people that are matched to sequential events in the history of the Church, the rise and fall of nations, political developments, and world history. In both Daniy'el and in Revelation, as well as in both Major Prophetic Outlines, the Great Controversy between good and evil is plainly presented.
Understanding the structure of Revelation permits a correct application of each segment of prophecy in the book. The structure of Revelation permits the Bible to be the expositor for each segment. After the segments of prophecy are placed in their proper position in relation to the whole structure of the book, each segment can then be properly interpreted.
“Heavenly Scene” | Preface Each Vision
The prophet Yahuwchanon was shown a different “Heavenly Scene” eight times in the book of Revelation. Each Heavenly Scene is illustrated on the charts as a picture at the top of a column and introduces the key participants in that Vision. The “Heavenly Scenes” are introductory to the Historical-prophetic Outline which follows below. Each Vision, which runs (down) vertically on the chart, is a separate segment of prophecy. Each segment presents a new way to deliver Elohiym's people from sin and from this present world.
Eight “Historical-prophetic Outlines”
Immediately after each “Heavenly Scene,” there is a Historical-prophetic Outline that lists the major prophetic events in sequential order. Each “Heavenly Scene” dictates the time or the event from which the Prophetic Outline shall begin. Then the events listed in the Prophetic Outline move forward through time; from past history, to the present, and into the future.
The sequence of prophetic events in Visions One and Eight proceed to conclusion without interruption or “Interlude.” Therefore, the endings of these two visions have no captioned End-time Event to terminate their Historical-prophetic Outlines.
The Six Interludes
The “Historical-prophetic Outlines” for Visions Two through Seven are interrupted before completion. These interruptions in the Prophetic Outlines are called “Interludes” These Interludes give important information about Elohiym's people (Scripturally termed “the 144,000”). The Interludes are not always related to the items or the sequence of events in the Outlines. When an Outline, containing seven events, is interrupted by an Interlude, that interruption occurs between events six and seven.
Six Eschatological End-time Events
Following an “Interlude”, the last item in a “Historical-prophetic Outline” is titled, the “End-time Event”. An End-time Event terminates the Prophetic Outline and its Vision. It needs to be kept in mind that the End-time Event is the last item in the sequence of events of a particular Prophetic Outline.
The chart here illustrates the structural patterns in Revelation. This chart displays the beautiful order in the structure of the book. The chart shows the vertical structure of each Vision. Each of the Visions end with an End-time Event or an Eschatological Culmination. Columns (Visions) 0ne through Eight address the experiences of Elohiym's people and the work of YaHuWshuaH haMashiach from before the world was made, through AD 31 to the New Earth and eternity.
The Horizontal Structure:
When the Heavenly Scenes are viewed from left to right, (in the First Major Line of Prophecy) it is evident that time moves forward from the first Heavenly Scene in column 1 (chapter 1) dated at AD 31 to the last Heavenly Scene in column 4 (chapter 11). That is a horizontal perspective. Vision Four terminates the First Major Line of Prophecy at the Second Coming of haMashiach (the Messiah).
When the Heavenly Scenes are viewed from left to right in the Second Major Line of Prophecy it is evident that time moves forward horizontally from the fifth Heavenly Scene in column 5 (chapter 12) that begins with
Lucifer'sHeylel's fall from heaven, and moves horizontally to the endtime events illustrated in the last Heavenly Scene in column 8 (chapter 22). Vision Eight terminates the Second Major Line of Prophecy at Satan's destruction and the creation of the new heavens and the new Earth.
The chart shows that each component in the structural pattern of the chart, is positioned both vertically and horizontally in a sequence within forward movements of time, that terminate at different end-time events. None but the mind of Elohiym could arrange a book having so marvelous a pattern in presentation. Each component is fulfilled in its orderly position, and sequenced in the forward movement of time both vertically and horizontally within the total structure of its Major Line of Prophecy. The book of Revelation has been beneficial to Elohiym's people through all of the past ages. A clear understanding of the structure will be especially valuable to the last generation, because it presents endtime applications for those who will live during the final period of end-time prophecy and the final crisis.
Revelation makes two prophetic sweeps through time. The first sweep, moves from the ascension of haMashiach to His second coming for His people, in the First Major Line of Prophecy. The Second Major Line of Prophecy proceeds from
Lucifer'sHeylel's fall in heaven, includes the Natsariym era and the Second Coming of haMashiach; and then continues through the millennium, to the new heavens, and a new Earth.
If the structure of this book is not understood, then the “Visions” each stand alone as if disorganized. Then the “Visions” in the two Major Lines of Prophecy cannot function together, to show the orderly vertical and horizontal forward movements of prophecy and time within both of the Major Lines. Neither can prophetic matches that exist between the two Major Lines of Prophecy be recognized.
“In the past, teachers have declared Daniy'el and the Revelation to be sealed books, and the people have turned from them. The veil whose apparent mystery has kept man from lifting it, Elohiym's own hand has withdrawn from these portions of His word. The very name “Revelation” contradicts the statement that it is a sealed book.
“Revelation", means that something of importance is revealed. The truths of this book are addressed to those living in these last days. We are standing with the veil removed in the holy place of sacred things. We are not to stand without. We are to enter, not with careless, irreverent thoughts, not with impetuous footsteps, but with reverence and godly fear. We are nearing the time when the prophecies of the book of Revelation are to be fulfilled.
Admonition | By Spirit Of Prophecy
“When the books of Daniy'el and Revelation are better understood, believers will have an entirely different religious experience. They will be given such glimpses of the open gates of heaven that the heart and mind will be impressed with the character that all must develop in order to realize the blessedness which is to be the reward of the pure in heart.
“A wonderful connection is seen between the universe of heaven and this world. The things revealed to Daniy'el were afterward complemented by the revelation made to Yahuwchanon on the Isle of Patmos. These two books should be carefully studied ... The book of Daniy'el is unsealed in the revelation to Yahuwchanon, and carries us forward to the last scenes of this Earth's history. ...Read Revelation in connection with Daniy'el. Teach these things.”
'Study Revelation in connection with Daniy'el, for history will be repeated. We, with all our religious advantages, ought to know far more today than we do know ... .[These] two books [need to be] bound together, Revelation following Daniy'el, as giving fuller light on the subjects dealt with in Daniy'el — the object is to bring these books together, showing that they both relate to the same subjects...the prophecies of Daniy'el and Revelation should be printed in small books, with the necessary explanations, and should be sent all over the world. This very admonition was accomplished to the glory of YaHuWaH, by Brother Risbeck and Sister Marian, who we are copiously referencing here. Bless them.
“The perils of the last days are upon us, and in our work we are to warn the people of the danger they are in. Let not the solemn scenes which prophecy has revealed be left untouched....Advance new principles, and crowd in the clear-cut truth. It will be as a sword cutting both ways. ...Let Daniy'el speak, let the Revelation speak, and tell what is the truth. But whatever phase of the subject is presented, uplift YaHuWshuaH as the center of all hope, “the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright and morning Star.”
When we superpose the First Line of Prophecy over the Second Line of Prophecy, we see very clearly, the anchor points in time that locks both Lines of Prophecy into one whole narrative that only Divinity can conceive. Only He could have revealed this to the Professor of Literature who unraveled this incredible structure of the Book of Revelation. YaHuWaH alone takes the glory.
In the First Vision of the First Line, the Prophetic Outline covers the period of the Seven Churches, all the way through to our day. But we also find that the first Vision of the Second Line, covers the period of the 'Woman clothed with the Sun', 'birth of the Man-Child', 'the beast', the '1260-year persecution'. The two Visions describe different events taking place during the same time-frame. It is true that the commencement of the First Vision of the Second Line, predates the creation of the World, dealing with Lucifer's rebellion and eventual expulsion from heaven.
Notice also that the Second Vision of the First line began with the beginning of the Investigative Judgment In Heaven. Then the Opening of the Seven Seals began and continues to this day. The Seven Seals end with the sealing of the 144,000 and the coming of YaHuWshuaH. The beginning of the Investigative Judgment dovetails from the end of the 1260-year period of the First Vision of the Second Line, continuing to the sealing of the 144,000 and the Harvests (Reaping).
The Close of Probation represented by the 'throwing down of the Censer', in the Third Vision of the First Line of Prophecies, is the same time as the events described in the Second Vision of the Second line of Prophecies when 'Smoke fills the Temple', 'No Man in the Temple', meaning no more mediation! This is followed by the Seven last Plagues. Meaning clearly that the Seven Trumpets and the Seven Last Plagues will take place during the same time frame.
Similarly, the Fourth Vision of the First Line of Prophecies take place during the same time frame as the events described in the Third Vision of the Second Line of Prophecies. Both Visions ending with the Second Coming of YaHuWshuaH haMashiach. The last Vision of the Second Line has no complements in the First Line of Prophecies as this period cover our travel to and 1,000-year vacation in Heaven and the descent of the New Yerushalayim and the final Executive Judgment - the Second Death.
Now you understand why YaHuWshuaH called this Book the , "Chizayon". A 'revealing of mysteries' long hidden. But for too long 'learned men and women', have called the Son of the Most High, the 'Aleph and Taw', 'the Amein', a Liar! They judged the book a mystery that is impossible to understand! Thus for so very long, different generations of humanity turned away from the blessing promised in the book! How tragic!
It is therefore your blessed privilege to understand the Book of Revelation and help others around you to do the same. And Remain blessed as you do this. Amein.Return to Top
