Armageddon Looms
The Final Tribulation About To Commence

Daniy'el Chapter 12:6 - 7

The Persecution

Then I, Daniy'ĕl, looked and saw two others standing, one on this bank of the river and the other on that bank.
Daniy'el 12:5

And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? (Daniy'el12:6 KJV)
Prophet Daniy'el beholds YaHuWshuaH at the river Hiddekel
YaHuWshuaH at the River Hiddekel
"And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."
Daniy'ĕl 12:6 - 7 (KJV)

The book of Daniy'el is classified as "Prophecy." Prophecy is simply history written before it happens. Prophecy is made up of historical events which occurred in the past, are happening in the present, and will happen in the future. The history of this world extends until the Second Coming of YaHuWshuaH. The book of Daniy'el, with its four visions-outlines, would be incomplete if their reiteration of events ended in 1844, more than a century before the Second Coming. Not only does Daniy'el 11:40-45 cover events extending through the final crises, the last chapter, (Daniy'el 12:1-4, and its Epilogue of three timelines of Daniy'el 12:5-13), refers to events involving the last generation, in the future, at the very end of the final conflict.

It is important to understand the structure of the entire book of Daniy'el, and necessary to perceive the nature and purpose of the whole book of Daniy'el, to know what to do with its last chapter. The book of Daniy'el is the story of the rise and fall of seven empires. The first four empires are described in chapter 2, the fifth in chapter 7, and the last two in chapter 11. Daniy'el 12, the last chapter, presents the rise and fall of the seventh empire, which occurs in the final actions of Earth's history.

The book of Daniy'el describes four visions or outlines of the history of this world from Daniy'el's day (600 BC) to the end of the world. The first vision-outline is found in Daniy'el, chapter 2. The second vision-outline is in chapter 7. The third vision-outline is in chapter 8 and explained in chapter 9. The fourth vision-outline is in chapter 11, and includes the first four verses of chapter 12. At that point, the book was sealed up.

"But thou, O Daniy'el, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end ..." Daniy'el 12:4

The last verses of Daniy'el 12: 5-13 are an "Epilogue," which, according to Webster's Dictionary, explains "how the work is finished," and presents the rise and fall of the last of the seven empires. Chapter 12 gives numerical data, in the three timelines, regarding the final events which conclude the Great Controversy between the Messiah and Satan in the final crises.

A LOOK AT THE FORWARD, PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT OF PROPHECY
IN DATABLE TIME IN THE BOOK OF Daniy'el

In the first vision-outline of a great symbolic image in chapter 2, Daniy'el saw four great empires rise and fall. They were: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Grecia, and Rome. These empires can be historically dated. The fall of Rome occurred in AD 476. (Then Daniy'el saw the Second Coming of YaHuWshuaH.) See the chart below.

The second vision-outline, of four symbolic "beasts" of Daniy'el 7, locks into the same scenes of Daniy'el 2 by repetition, so that one outline interprets the next outline. However, the second outline of empires adds the rise and fall of an additional or fifth empire, referred to as the "little horn."

And the ten horns out of this kingdom (fourth kingdom of Rome) are ten kings (countries of Europe) that shall arise and another [fifth empire] shall rise after them.
Daniy'el 7:24.

This "little horn," described the Papal Supremacy that reigned over the old world from AD 538 to 1798. The second vision-outline moves the scene forward in date-able time to AD 1798. All four visions-outlines conclude with the Second Coming of YaHuWshuaH. Each additional vision-outline adds more information and moves ever closer to the endtime. This is also illustrated on the chart below.

The third vision-outline again repeats the description of the rise and fall of empires, but adds a 2300 day-year timeline which began in 457 BC and ended in AD 1844, at the time of the opening of the investigative judgment in heaven. The computation of this 2300 day-year timeline of Daniy'el 8: 14 moves still further forward in date-able time to AD 1844.

The fourth vision-outline of chapter 11:1-45 and 12:1-4, (which also concludes with the Second Coming of YaHuWshuaH,) reveals a sixth and seventh empire! The seventh empire is a future Papal Supremacy also described in Revelation 13 as the "beast," with his "mark" of authority over "all the world." Daniy'el 11:45 declares that "he shall come to his end and none shall help him." This fourth vision-outline, continuing on into Daniy'el 12:1-4, then describes the resurrection of the dead and brings the history of the world to an end.

The sixth empire is described in Daniy'el 11:36-40, as the godless, atheistic communist empire known as the USSR which fell in 1989. It was defeated by "the King of the North" in Daniy'el 11:40. We are now waiting for the rise of the seventh empire (Now happening before our eyes), after which there will soon be the Second Coming.

This chart below, illustrates the above information. It reveals by the diagonal line with its arrow, the fact that the last chapter of Daniy'el belongs in the future, concluding with the final crisis and deliverance of the Saints at the end of the world.

This understanding is validated and Cross-checked 100% by this statement by the Spirit of Prophecy:

let us read and study the 12th chapter of Daniy'el. it is a warning we shall all need to understand before the time of the end.
Ellen G. White, 'Letter 161 July 30', 1903

This admonition by the Spirit of Prophecy is without controversy, placing the fulfillment of the Prophecy of Daniy'el chapter 12 in the future. This letter was written in 1903. That it is ' a warning we shall ... '. We cannot see how 'shall', can be referring to the past.

PROPHECY INTERPRETATION | Methods

There are three Fundamentally different methods of interpretation of the Prophecies in the Bible. They are:

  1. Preterism
  2. Futurism, and
  3. Historicism.
Preterism is the eschatological view that interprets Prophecies of the Bible as events which have already happened. Daniy'el is interpreted as events that happened in the second century BC, while Revelation is interpreted as events that happened in the first century AD Preterism holds that Ancient Yisra'el finds its continuation or fulfillment in the Natsariym or Natsarene church at the destruction of Yerushalayim in AD 70. The term preterism comes from the Latin 'praeter', which is listed in Webster's 1913 dictionary as a prefix connoting that something is "past" or "beyond", signifying that either all or a majority of Bible Prophecies were fulfilled by AD 70. Adherents of preterism are commonly known as Preterists.
Wikipedia - article: Preterism

Futurism is the eschatological view that interprets portions of the Book of Revelation, the Book of Daniy'el, and other Prophecies, as future events in a literal, physical, apocalyptic, and global context.
Wikipedia - article: Futurism

Historicism is the method of interpretation in Natsariym or Natsarene eschatology which associates biblical Prophecies with actual historical events and identifies symbolic beings with historical persons or societies. The historicist school of prophetic interpretation results in a progressive and continuous fulfillment of Prophecy and contained the viewpoint of almost all Protestant Reformers from the Reformation into the 19th century.[1] The main texts of interest are apocalyptic literature, such as the Book of Daniy'el and the Book of Revelation, and historicist methods have been applied to ancient Jewish history, the Roman Empire, Islam, the Papacy, the Modern era, and even into the end time.
Wikipedia - article: Historicism

The book of Daniy'el is classified as "Prophecy." Prophecy is simply history written before it happens. Prophecy is made up of historical events which occurred in the past, are happening in the present, and will happen in the future. The history of this world extends until the Second Coming of YaHuWshuaH.

Certainly You will agree that any thinking person cannot but agree that the only valid way or method of dealing with Prophecies must be the Historicist way or method.

It may interest you to know that following the Reformation, the Papacy desperately sought for a way to turn away the stiff finger of Prophecy directed it as the 'Little Horn', the 'Beast' and the 'Anti-Christ'!
The Jesuits, such as Francisco Ribera and Louis de Alcazar, used the malicious technique of interchanging literal and symbolic language, to discredit a correct application of the "little horn" of Daniy'el 7:25, representing Papal Rome as it reigned from AD 538-1798. They ignored the context of symbolic "beasts" and declared the symbolic "time, and times, and dividing of time" of Daniy'el 7:25 to be literal time.

Ribera placed a literal "time, times, and an half," or three and a half literal years, far into the future to apply to an unidentified Antichrist, taking the finger of accusation off the Roman Papacy. This technique is known as "Futurism." ("Futurism" is not to be confused with a legitimate "Future Application" of Prophecy.) Alcazar placed the literal three and a half years far in the past, as having been previously fulfilled. He accomplished the same objective to remove accusation from Rome. His technique is known as "Preterism."

Today, the same technique, when used by modern theologians, ignores the literal language and literal context of Daniy'el 12, with its three timelines, and their literal "days," treating them as if they were symbolic language, or symbolic "days," each representing a literal year. Then, like the Preterists in the sixteen hundreds, the whole scene is relegated to the past, devising a new form of Preterism ! Again, the accusing finger is removed from Papal Rome, when it will reign again in the future final crises, described in Revelation 13.

Conscientious Prophetic Expositors do not use Jesuit techniques or devices to distort and misplace, or deny Scriptural messages of warning! When Daniy'el 12 is correctly applied, it is a warning regarding the "Beast" and his "mark" of Revelation 13, and gives precise timing in regard to his reign. It is a part of the Third Angel's Warning and will swell into the "Loud Cry."

... the Seven Thunders ... relate to future events which will be disclosed in their order. Daniy'el will stand in his lot at the end of the days. John saw the little book [Daniy'el] unsealed. Then Daniy'el's Prophecies have their proper place in the First, Second, and Third Angels' Messages to be given [future] to the world. The unsealing of the little book was a message in relation to TIME.
Seventh-Day Adventist Bible Commentary, p. 971

If one should declare that Daniy'el 12 is literal and applies it to the future, will he not be classified as a "futurist"?

First, consider Daniy'el 7:
Many years ago, Roman Catholic prophetic Expositors ignored the symbolism of Daniy'el 7 with its symbolic "little horn." This little horn would persecute the Saints for a "...time and times and the dividing of time,...and think to change times and laws...." This Prophecy was a threat to them and they worked to make it ineffective. They displaced the time symbolism and substituted it with literal time. They would not acknowledge the Year-day Computation Principle - the interpretation of prophetic-symbolic time, and declared this period of Daniy'el 7 to be a literal three and a half years to be fulfilled at the very end of time. This stance drew the accusing finger away from Rome.

Therefore, a "futurist" is one who substitutes literal applications in place of a true historicist interpretation of those Prophecies which are written in symbolism and have time couched within the symbolic context. A "futurist" was one who was determined to divert the gaze from Papal Rome.

On the other hand, those of the Historicist "School" of Prophetic Interpretation, from the days of the Protestant Reformation, recognized symbolic-prophetic passages to be couched in figurative language. They used the Cross-reference method of study to interpret the symbols, and the Year-day Computation Principle to interpret the times couched in symbolic text. They pointed the finger directly at Papal Rome as the fulfillment and persecutor of Elohiym's people, past and future! (See Revelation 13:1-10).

The historicist uses both symbolic and literal Prophecy to provide an historical continuum of past, present and future. If one declares Daniy'el 12 to be written in literal language, to apply to the future he will take his place with the great historicists of the centuries.

Daniy'el 12 | WHAT APPROACH?

Is Daniy'el Chapter 12 symbolic or literal? Do we find literal language or symbolic language in the text? Is it for the future or for the past? Could it be a reiteration of the Prophecy of Daniy'el Chapter 7?

In Daniy'el 12 there is no prophetic symbolism-no image, no beasts, no horns, no crowns, no mountains, no stone, no winds, no eyes, no mouth, none of the prophetic symbolism otherwise used in Daniy'el or Revelation. It is true that Daniy'el was in vision when he heard the conversation recorded in Daniy'el 12, but still there is no symbolism in the text. Therefore Daniy'el 12 should be read in its most literal sense.
Ibid

When prophetic time periods are couched in the context of symbolic figures, these time periods should be treated as symbolic time and decoded by the Year-day Computation Principle. The timelines of Daniy'el 12 are not couched in symbolic context and should therefore be considered literal time. Prophetic Expositors do not have the right to attempt to decode literal statements of Scripture but must take them in the most "obvious and literal sense." Therefore the "days" spoken of in Daniy'el 12 should be regarded as literal days.
Ibid

The "days" timelines of Daniy'el 12 are as follows:

  1. ...the man clothed in linen ...sware...that it shall be for a time*, times, and an half ...to scatter the power of the holy people,.... Daniy'el 12:7. "Time" is prophetic terminology, representing a biblical year of 360 literal (24-hour) days'. It is not symbolic or "prophetic" time.
  2. And from the time that the daily, shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Daniy'el 12:11.
  3. Blessed is he that waiteth and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. Daniy'el 12:12.

Some Prophecy is written in figurative-symbolic language, such as that of Daniy'el 2, 7, 8, and parts of Revelation. These symbols are those of an image, beasts, horns, eyes, mountains, stones, etc. Other Prophecies are written in literal language, such as that of MattithYahuw 24:7, "...there shall be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places." It is Prophecy because it points to the future but it uses no symbolism. It simply points to specific events to occur.

Only those Prophecies which are couched in symbols or figurative language must have those symbols decoded or interpreted. This decoding process or "interpretation" is the first step toward understanding. After the symbol or figure of speech is "interpreted" or decoded, then an application can be made. Prophecies which are written in literal language do not need to be decoded or interpreted. They need only to be applied to the correct circumstance.

The process of decoding or "interpreting" symbolism is circumscribed to a procedure in which the Bible must be its own interpreter or Expositor! We are given the following warning which is the first hermeneutic rule of exposition:
Knowing this first, that no Prophecy [prophetic symbol] of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. 2 Kepha (Peter) 1:20.

In this process of decoding or interpretation of symbolism, no man is permitted to insert his own private opinions or conjecture as to the meaning of a symbol or figure or type. These meanings must be derived by Cross-reference Bible study in which other portions of the Scripture unlock or decode the meaning. This process is described in YeshaYahuw (Isaiah) 28:9-13 (KJV).
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? ...For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; ...the word of YaHuWaH was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon percept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little;.... YeshaYahuw 28:9-13.

Please beloved, note this:
Regardless of the various translations of YeshaYahuw 28 in corrupted Bibles, in which there have been attempts to discard the Cross-reference or topical study of the Scripture, there remains the context which reinforces this basic hermeneutic in which the Bible remains its own Expositor or "interpreter" of prophetic symbolism.

And, this is why this Ministry recommends only the Authorized "King James Version" (KJV) of the Bible and the "Restored Name King James Version" (RNKJV) for your Bible study. You may use the "The Scriptures" Version (TS98, TS2009), Eth Cepher Version, etc., for textual flavors and clarity. Never use any other translations for Bible Study please. They are all corrupted and designed by satan and the papacy to deceive and mislead!

If a Prophecy is written in symbolism , the first step toward understanding is the decoding or interpretation of the symbol. Only after that is carefully "nailed down" by Scriptural Cross-reference, can the next step be taken - that of application. An example follows:

THE SYMBOL:
"I saw in my vision ...four great beasts..." Daniy'el 7:2,3.
THE DECODING:
Step No. 1 Interpretation
The Bible interprets the symbols as follows: "These great beasts... are four kings." Daniy'el 7:17.
APPLICATION:
Step No. 2 Application
The four kings, representing kingdoms, are: Babylon , Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome.

Only after such "interpretation" of the symbol is complete, can the prophetic Expositor make an APPLICATION to the correct persons or circumstances. When Prophecy is written without symbolism, then Step No. 1 is eliminated. It then needs no "interpretation." It requires only Step No. 2 - that of application.

Daniy'el chapters 10, 11 and 12, Daniy'el's last Vision, a clear narration by the Angel Gavriy'el, uses NO SYMBOLISM. It needs only an application to the correct circumstances. The book, A WARNING is not an "interpretation" of Daniy'el 12. Daniy'el 12 uses no symbolism, but it contains perplexing terminology which needs to be defined. Therefore the objectives of the book and this website are to:

  1. Classify the language form of Daniy'el 12 as "literal."
  2. Define its terms with reference to the original Hebrew language.
  3. Reduce the KJV's baffling terminology to simple everyday language.
  4. Provide linkage between Daniy'el and Revelation.
  5. Apply its plain, literal statements to circumstances as described in other passages with endtime prophetic significance.
  6. Proclaim the warning, "that we shall all need to understand."
  7. Bring confidence to Elohiym's people as the end approaches.

Skillful prophetic Expositors see no tension or conflict between literal and symbolic forms of prophetic utterance. The Historicist "School" of Prophetic Interpretation and application has used both forms to identify historical-political-spiritual events of the past, present and future. Skillful exposition requires that the Bible student:

  1. Recognize the difference between literal and symbolic language.
  2. Understand the harmonious relationship between the two prophetic forms.
  3. Permit the Scriptures to decode or "interpret" the symbols.
  4. Use consistently the historicist methods with both forms.
  5. Make consistent applications, using either form, extending the historical view as new messages emerge as time advances the "unrolling of the scroll."

HERMENEUTICS | Rules For Decoding Prophecy

Special emphasis on the following:

  1. One Bible text shall not be permitted to destroy all others on the same subject!
  2. One quotation by Ellen G. White shall not be permitted to destroy all others on the same subject.
  3. Bible verses must be kept in context.
  4. Quotations by Ellen G. White must be kept in context of the discussion.
  5. Statements by Ellen G. White must be kept in circumstantial and historical setting.

When such hermeneutic principles are followed, the statements of Scripture and Ellen G. White will be found in perfect harmony. A good hermeneutic will solve the problem of careless assumptions and making up excuses to ignore the Scriptures which deal with closing events!

THE LITERAL APPROACH

Every declaration of Scripture is to be taken in the most obvious and literal sense, except where context and the well-known laws of language show that the terms are figurative, and not literal, and whatever is figurative must be explained by other portions of the Bible which are literal.
G. M. Hyde, Ed.: 'A Symposium on Biblical Hermeneutics. (Washington, D.C.: Review and Herald Publishing Association, 1979), Statement by Don Neufeld'
E.G. White, 'Great Controversy' page 599.

The above quotation defines one of the most important hermeneutic rules to be used in a study of the Bible. This is called the literal approach and it applies to all parts of the books of the Bible. It is the only approach approved by Seventh-day Adventists and all Historicists throughout history.

By this literal approach all foundations were laid for Adventism, the doctrines now held by the church, as well as its valid expositions of Prophecy. This means that Daniy'el 12 must also be subjected to this literal approach and guarded by this hermeneutic principle.
In Daniy'el 12 there is no prophetic symbolism - no image, no beasts, no horns, no crowns, no mountains, no stone, no winds, no eyes, no mouth, none of the prophetic symbolism otherwise used in Daniy'el or Revelation.

What Is In These For Us Today?

In every age there is a new development of truth, a message of Elohiym to the people of that generation. The old truths are all essential; new truth is not independent of the old, but an unfolding of it. It is only as the old truths are understood that we can comprehend the new. When the Messiah desired to open to His disciples the truth of His resurrection, He began "at Mosheh and all the prophets" and "expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself." Luke 24:27. But it is the light which shines in the fresh unfolding of truth that glorifies the old. He who rejects or neglects the new, does not really possess the old. For him it loses its vital power and becomes but a lifeless form.
Mashiach's Object Lessons, pp. 127, 128

We want the past message and the fresh message.

Let us read and study the 12th chapter of Daniy'el. It is a warning we shall all need to understand before the time of the end.
Ellen G. White, 'Letter 161 July 30, 1903'

APPLICATION OF Daniy'el 12: 6 - 7

THE SCRIPTURE

"And [one] said to the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the river, How long [shall it be to] the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished.
Daniy'el 12:6-7 (KJV)

DEFINING TERMS:

Who is the Man Clothed in Linen?

Answer:

“And the priest shall put on his linen garment.” Leviticus 6:10
“Israel's high priest wore his 'golden garments' for all the daily services which he performed during the day, and changed into the uniform of an ordinary priest only for the unique rites of the day of atonement.' Leslie Hardinge, Christ Is All. pp 37, 38. “Behold the Man whose name is the Branch; ... and He shall be a Priest upon His throne ..." ZekarYahuw 6:12,13. “And in the fourth watch of the night, YaHuWshuaH went unto them, walking on the sea.” MattithYahuw (Matthew) 14:25
YaHuWshuaH is the 'Man clothed in linen' He is our High Priest. (Hebrews 8) He is the one that walks on water It is the day of Atonement that began on October 22, 1844. He is guaranteeing His beloved that the final crises will not drag out indefinitely.
What Is "A 'Time, times, and the dividing of time'? ":

Answer:

A 'time' is a Bible year of 360 days or 12 new moons of 30 days each.
“Let his heart be changed from a man's, and let a beast's heart be given him, and let seven TIMES pass over him” Daniy'el 4:16. Though this was Prophecy, it was not symbolic for Nebuchadnezzar spent seven years as an animal. It may be used literally or symbolically, depending on whether the Prophecy is symbolic or literal. It is only a term. A Bible term for a year of 360 days. When the term is not used, we may be tempted to equate the year to 365¼ days!
Who Are The "Holy People"?

Answer:

Daniy'el 12:7: "... the HOLY PEOPLE, all these things shall be finished.”
MattithYahuw 24: “... This GENERATION will not pass away till all these things take place.”
Note the similarity in the two texts. It was not a reference to the disciples or any other group except to those who will be on the scene when YaHuWshuaH appears. They will proclaim the impending end of the Investigative Judgment of the living. They will be spotless, reflecting the image of YaHuWshuaH fully. Revelation 14:5
They will receive the Seal of the Living Elohiym. They will receive the 'latter rain' and give the 'Loud cry' of the 3rd & 4th Angels' messages to the world. They will live through the seven last Plagues and the 'time of trouble' without an Intercessor before Elohiym. They will be translated without seeing death. They will be 144,000 in number.

What Does "Scatter" Mean?

Answer:

The word scatter is translated from the Hebrew word 'naphats' - Word number 5310 in Strong's Concordance. It means: dash in pieces; break in pieces; beaten in sunder; broken; … dispersed; overspread, scatter. It means simply persecution, severe tribulation. Terminate the work of the Saints!
What Does "Power" Mean?

Answer:

The word 'power' is translated from the Hebrew word 'YAD' - Word number 3027 in Strong's Concordance. It means: Hand; Power, Dominion, Service,… Ministry. To 'scatter the power' therefore means persecution that eventually stops the work of Ministry, breaking the hands of the Saints.

'HE' refers of course to the 'abomination of desolation'. The Persecutor of Elohiym's people in AD 70. Persecutor during the dark Ages from AD 538 - AD 1798. His deadly wound (Revelation 13:3) healed, he positions for the final battle against Elohiym and His people ( in Papal supremacy No. 2 over the whole world).

UNDERSTANDING BIBLICAL TIMELINES

In the book of Daniy'el there are seven timelines. The first four timelines, as they began and ended, set the precedent as to how to begin and end the last three timelines in Daniy'el 12. In this way, the Bible is its own interpreter. Human speculation is not permitted.

The seven timelines in the book of Daniy'el are as follows:

  1. Daniy'el 4:16 The seven year timeline of Nebuchadnezzar's insanity.
  2. Daniy'el 7:25 - The 1260 years of Papal Supremacy No. 1 over Europe.
  3. Daniy'el 8:14 - The 2300 years (from 457 BC to AD 1844)
  4. Daniy'el 9:24 - The 490 years (from 457 BC to AD 34).
  5. Daniy'el 12:7 - The 1260 literal days of scattering (persecution) of Elohiym's people.
  6. Daniy'el 12:11 - The 1290 literal days of Papal Supremacy No. 2 over all the world.
  7. Daniy'el 12:12 - The 1335 literal days "WAIT" for final deliverance from the final death decree.

NOTE THIS IMPORTANT PRINCIPLE

  • All Biblical timelines begin and end with a Fulfillment of a Bible Prophecy.
  • A "speaking VOICE," which is,
  • A Legislative or judicial action (The passing of a Law or Judgment).

The First Four Timelines Set the Precedent for the Last Three Timelines of Daniy'el 12. (The Rule of First Mention)

Example No. 1: The Seven Year Timeline of Nebuchadnezzar's Insanity.
  • The seven years began when the Prophecy of Daniy'el 4:16 was fulfilled in Daniy'el 4:33. "The same hour was the thing fulfilled." Daniy'el 4:33.
  • The seven years began with a "speaking Voice." A heavenly legislative action.
"...there fell a voice from heaven, saying, to thee it is spoken ... seven times shall pass over thee." Daniy'el 4:31,32.
The seven years began with legislative action (a Decree or Law)."This matter is by the decree of the watchers ..." Daniy'el 4:17.
  • It ended by a Judicial action also: "O king, this is the decree of the most High." Daniy'el 4:24.
Example No. 2: The 1260 Day-Year Timeline of Papal Supremacy No. 1 Over Europe.
  • The 1260 day-year timeline began when the Prophecy of Daniy'el 7:25 was fulfilled in,
  • the Decretal Letter written by Justinian, emperor of Rome. This letter declared that the Bishop of Rome should be titled the "Head of all Natsariym or Natsarene Churches," giving him ecclesiastical authority. He was also given the power of State with the title, "Corrector of Heretics." He used this power to persecute, thus establishing Papal Supremacy No. 1 over Europe in AD 538.
  • Papal Supremacy No. 1, over Europe and the "old world," ended exactly 1260 years later, when Napoleon of France took the Pope captive in AD 1798. The 1260 year timeline ended with Judicial Action or judgment by the French government.
Example No. 3: The 2300 Day-Year Timeline.
  • The 2300 day-year timeline began as a fulfillment of the Prophecy of Daniy'el 8: 14 and Daniy'el 9:25, which was,
  • The Decree ("commandment") to restore and rebuild Yerushalayim. (See Daniy'el 9:25).
  • The 2300 timeline ended with Judicial Action. The Investigative Judgment began in AD 1844. (See Daniy'el 7:9-12 and 13,14).
Example No. 4 - The " 70 Weeks" or 490 Year Timeline.
  • The 490 year timeline began with the fulfillment of the Prophecy of Daniy'el 9:24.
  • It began with the Decree ("commandment") to restore and rebuild Yerushalayim.
  • It ended with the Decree or action of the council to stone Stephen in AD 34. This was Judgmental action against 'the Messiah's representatives. Yisra'el was judged or "cut off." Daniy'el 9:24.
The 1260 Days of Daniy'el 12:6 - 7

Conclusion:
The first four timelines of the book of Daniy'el, which began with fulfilled Prophecy, with "speaking voices" which are Decrees (Laws), and also ended with Decrees or Judicial action, set the precedent as to how to begin and end the last three timelines of Daniy'el 12.

Hermeneutic

“The 'Speaking' of a nation, is the action of its Legislative or Judicial Authorities.”
E. G. White, 'Great Controversy', p. 442

a key point: The books of Daniy'el and Revelation are one prophetic unit. The three timelines in Daniy'el 12 begin and end with fulfilled Prophecies in the book of Revelation. It is the fulfillment of these prophetic texts which begin and end the three timelines of Daniy'el 12, referring to future events. Daniy'el 12:5-13 and Revelation 13 and 17 are one unit. Only by integrating the two books, is the Bible permitted to be its own Expositor.

The book of Daniy'el is unsealed in the Revelation to Yahuwchanon, and carries us forward to the last scenes of this Earth's history."
E. G. white, 'Testimonies to Ministers', p. 115.
“ ... The study of the Revelation directs the mind to the Prophecies of Daniy'el, and both present most important instruction, given of Elohiym to men, concerning events to take place at the close of the world's history.
E. G. white, 'Great Controversy', p. 341

Daniy'el 12 TIMELINES | BEGINNING & ENDING

The 1260 Literal days. Will be a time of severe persecution. The last persecution of YaHuWaH's people. This persecution is fulfilled in Revelation chapter 13.

The 1260 Literal Days Timeline of "time, times, and an half ' or 1260 literal days timeline of Daniy'el 12 will begin with:

  • The fulfillment of the Prophecy of Revelation 13:5 which is a,
  • "mouth speaking great things"-a Voice which will be the,
  • Legislative action of a Universal Sunday Law, over all nations so that, "all the world wonder[s] after the beast' and receive[s] his "mark." Revelation 13:3,17.

“And there was given unto him a mouth, 'speaking' great things ... And power was given him to continue forty and two months … And ALL that dwell on Earth shall worship him ... “ Revelation 13:5,8.

A decree or legislation designed to make the whole world to worship the Beast. This is the universal sunday law. For the whole WORLD is wondering after the Beast! This opens persecution on a global scale.
The governments of the world are united behind the Beast and its Image to annihilate Elohiym's people. They are of "one mind"! Revelation 17:13

The 1260 Days' Chart
1260 Days Timeline Voices
The enforcement of Sunday-keeping on the part of Protestant churches is an enforcement of the worship of the Papacy - the Beast”
E.G. White, 'Great Controversy', 448.
“Fearful is the issue to which the world is brought. The powers of the Earth, uniting to war against the commandments of Elohiym, will decree that 'all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond', shall conform to the customs of the Church by observance of the false Sabbath (Sunday, etc.).
E.G. white, 'Great Controversy', p. 604

END OF THE 1260-DAY TIMELINE

  • The end of the timeline will similarly be the fulfillment of the climax of the persecuting action by the Beast as fulfilled in Revelation Chapter 13:15.
  • It is a 'speaking Voice',
  • 'Speaking' or 'legislating' the the Universal Death Decree.

a universal sunday law (usl), over the entire world begins the 1260 days. a universal death decree will end the 1260 days:

And he had power to give life unto the Image of the Beast that the Beast should 'both speak', and cause that as many as would not worship the Beast should be killed, ... ”
Revelation 13:15

1260 Literal days Timeline of Daniy'el 12:7
The 1260 Days Timeline

It is through Elohiym's people that Elohiym's character is made manifest to the entire Universe. When rebellion decides to wipe out all of Elohiym's children in one blow, it means the banishment of Elohiym from the World created and the eternal loss of the world to the Arch rebel - Satan!
This is the ultimate in wickedness, sin and rebellion. There is nothing more to demonstrate in the continuation of the Great Controversy over the character and government of Elohiym. 'All these things' which the wicked can do 'shall be finished', are then finished.

By decreeing the extermination of Elohiym's people, the wicked seal their own doom as Haman did. The cup of iniquity and transgression is full, and they sentence themselves to doom unspeakable!
Action begins in Heaven, by which the righteous must be delivered. ... Religious and secular authorities have combined to enforce the observance of Sunday, the persistent refusal of a minority to yield to popular demand will make them objects of universal execration ... a decree will finally be issued against those who hallow the Sabbath of the 4th Commandment,... giving the people liberty, after a 'certain time', to PUT THEM TO DEATH ...
E.G. white, 'Great Controversy', p. 615, 616

Note that Elohiym's people will begin to receive death penalties from the beginning of the crises! This will not be universal and must not be confused with the UDD.
The UDD will be a plan to wipe them out in one blow in one night from the face of the Earth. Prophecy declares that the UDD occurs during the 6th Plague.

... As the decree issued by the various rulers of Christendom against commandment-keepers shall withdraw the protection of government and abandon them … the people of Elohiym will flee the cities and villages and associate together in companies dwelling in the most desolate and solitary places. Many will find refuge in the strongholds of the mountains ...
E.G. white, 'Great Controversy', p. 626.

Note that the UDD when legislated, will not take immediate effect.

... a decree will finally be issued against those who hallow the Sabbath of the 4th Commandment,… giving the people liberty, after a certain time, to put them to death ...
E.G. White, 'Great Controversy', 615, 616

The kindred account of the final persecution is found in Revelation chapter 17. Revelation Chapters 13 and 17 describe the same events.

And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdoms as yet, but receive power as kings one hour with the Beast.
Revelation 17:12,13.

The event of Revelation 17:12,13 is the same as that in Daniy'el 12:7, 11. Note again that there is always an interval between the enactment of a law and the date when it goes into effect (the Effective Date).

The 1260-day timeline of Daniy'el 12:7
Daniy'el 12:7 Timeline

Note also that Earthly laws go into effect at midnight. The UDD goes into effect at the 'specified time'. Midnight is the hour!

The 'voice of Elohiym' occurs also at the same midnight to deliver Elohiym's people.
“It is at midnight that Elohiym manifests His power for the deliverance of His people … In the midst of the angry heavens is one clear space of indescribable glory, whence comes the 'voice of Elohiym' like the sound of many waters saying 'it is done'
Revelation 16:17; E.G. white, 'Great Controversy', p. 636.

The one hour of Revelation 17:12-14 describes the triumph of the Beast's ability to get the kings of the whole world to support his UDD. From the time of the enactment of the UDD and its enforcement is one hour of exultation for the world. But for Elohiym's people, it is the time of 'Jacob's Trouble'

The people of Elohiym will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress described by the Prophet as the time of Jacob's trouble
E.G. white, 'Great Controversy', p. 616

The one hour of Revelation 17:12-14 is written in the context of symbolism of a 'beast' and 'horn'. So, it is symbolic time.

So, one prophetic hour = 124 of a prophetic day or literal biblical year.
This is equal to 124 x 360 = 15 days. There shall be 15 days between the legislation of the UDD and its Effective Date. 15 days of 'Trouble' for Elohiym's people.

The UDD ends the 1260 Days and ushers in the Time of Trouble' which will last no longer than fifteen (15) days!
It will be the greatest persecution of all ages. The Wicked devises a plan to annihilate the Righteous, thereby reaching their limit. The Universe would have seen enough. The utter malignity of sin has been fully exposed.

... When he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished”.
Daniy'el 12:7.

The Great Controversy can accept no more. Satan shows that his real plan is to banish the Creator from His creation! The Great Controversy for Elohiym's people is now at an end. HalleluYah. Amein.

Summary

The Study of the first timeline of Daniy'el 12:7, informs the last Generation of the following:

  • They will be persecuted.
  • The persecution shall span 1,260 literal days.
  • They will know that the end is near when the Beast legislates a Universal Sunday Law (USL). And because of this law, many of them shall suffer.
  • At the end of the 1260 days, frustrated by the stubbornness of the Last Generation (Holy People) who refuse to conform to the Gregorian Calendar and its spurious Sabbaths (especially Sunday), the Beast bolstered by support from all Nations, shall condemn them to death, a UDD).
  • But the Death sentence will take effect two weeks following the legislation. Implementation will be and begin at the midnight of the 15th day!
  • But not one hair of their heads shall fall to the ground.
  • The Voice of Elohiym shall thunder from Heaven, declaring them innocent and Obedient, and setting them free and condemning their persecutors, the world and the wicked.
